Dear Parents and Guardians, 

Thank you everyone for your patience and understanding as we have worked with health officials to develop a protocol for the safe retrieval of students’ belongings and technology/device drop-off.  We are now ready to begin this process, as outlined below:

On Thursday, June 24 from 11:30 to 3:00 and Friday, June 25 from 11:30 to 2:30, we will invite families to the school to collect student belongings, pick up report cards and drop-off technology and devices. 

We are going to do a drive through drop-off/pick up.  Please note the following protocols that will apply to that day:
-Prior to attending, all family members must complete the online Covid self-assessment screener at: https://covid-19.ontario.ca/self-assessment/.  We ask that anyone who does not pass the assessment, follows the appropriate protocol and does not attend the school.
-All vehicles will enter the parking lot through the south entrance and exit through the north exit.  This is our normal traffic route. 
-Tables will be set up along the parking lot.  A sign will be posted with each teacher’s name on it.  Kindergarten tables will be the first tables, then Grades 1/2, ascending up to Grades 7/8.
-When you get to the sign with your child’s teacher’s name on it, stop and retrieve your items and return any borrowed technology.
-Staff will ask the names of the people in the vehicles for contact tracing purposes. 
-The sole purpose of the visit is to collect belongings and report cards and to drop-off any borrowed devices.  We would kindly ask that families not visit with others while at school, but to come, get your belongings, and leave as quickly as possible, in the interest of everyone’s health and safety. 

*there will be an increase of volume/traffic in the parking lot.  Please be patient and careful as you drive through the parking lot. 

An
y student items that are not picked up will be stored until September.  As well, any reports that are not picked up will be mailed to students’ home addresses. 

 Thank you in advance for your help and cooperation in making this a safe, efficient process for families and staff involved.
