Hello Storrington Stingers,
We hope that all of our Stingers have a great Easter holiday and enjoy the long weekend.
Please see the information below in this week’s Week at a Glance.
International Day of Pink
Thursday, April 14, 2022 is the International Day of Pink. The day is dedicated to creating a more inclusive and diverse world. It is also a day to stand up to homophobic and transphobic bullying and discrimination. We encourage all our Stingers to wear pink to show their support and solidarity towards equity and inclusion.
Storrington Clubs
With the change in Covid rules and regulations, we are now able to offer extra-curricular sports and activities for our Stingers. Below is a list of clubs that are currently being offered:
Running Club
Skipping Club
Art Club
Eco/Gardening Club
We encourage all our Stingers to participate in the clubs or teams that are available to them.
Grade 7/8 Storrington Basketball Teams
Our Grade 7/8 boys’ and girls’ basketball teams completed in a basketball skills challenge against other schools in LDSB. The challenges focus on shooting and lay-ups and each week, we compete against another schools. Congratulations to all our players as our boys’, girls’, and open teams all finished second overall. Great job Stingers!

Covid 19 Health Protocols
The provincial screening tool has been further amended to align with federal requirements, and to take into account different vaccination circumstances. The screening tool will advise on any isolation requirements for your particular situation, but in general, household members of COVID-positive or symptomatic individuals do not have to self-isolate if:
(a) they have tested positive for COVID-19 in the previous 90 days;
(b) are older than 18 and have received their booster dose (three doses); or
(c) are younger than 18 and are fully immunized (two doses). Household members who do not meet these criteria must self-isolate.
Click here for the updated screening tools.
