Week at a Glance

Hello Storrington Stingers,

We hope that all our Stingers are staying well and healthy.

Please see the information below in this week’s Week at a Glance.

Storrington Picture Day

A reminder that our Storrington Picture Day is scheduled for Friday, December 11.  After Picture Day, parents can order pictures on mylifetouch.ca using your Portrait ID and Access Code which can be found on your Picture Day order form.

Storrington students, who are participating in Remote Learning, are able to have their pictures taken from 3:45 to 4:15 in the school gym.

When ordering your child’s photos, you can save 10% off your order when you use the promotion code- 2020HOLIDAY.  This offer expires on December 31, 2020.

Holiday Presentation

This year, Storrington Public School students will be creating a virtual holiday presentation in place of our traditional holiday performance.  Our focus this year will be, The List of Things That Will Never Change.  “In a time when so many things are different, it is reassuring to know that some things will never change”.

Students from Storrington Public School will be encouraged to share their family holiday traditions in several different art forms.  This presentation will be videotaped and shared with your child’s class on a virtual platform.

If you would like your child(ren) to participate, please fill out the permission form and return it to the school by Tuesday, December 8.

Storrington Jingle Bell Walk/Non-Perishable Food Donations

Our Storrington Jingle Bell Walk is scheduled for Thursday, December 10th.  As always, in conjunction with the Jingle Bell Walk, we will be accepting non-perishable food items for the Battersea United Church. During the week of December 7th to December 11th, students are encouraged to bring in non-perishable food items, which will be used to provide food baskets for families in need.  If you’re looking for donation ideas, the church is in need of the following items: cereal (Rice Krispies and Cheerios), crackers, ketchup, toothpaste, relish, mustard, dish soap, white sugar, cookies, jam, spaghetti, spaghetti sauce, Stove Top stuffing, and cranberry sauce.

Yard Supervisor Needed

We are currently looking for a yard supervisor to cover daily, from 10:30 to 11:30 and 1:00 to 2:00.  Compensation is provided.  A valid CPIC is required.  If you are interested, please contact the office.

Covid-19 Screening Protocols and Family Reference Guide

Please take the time to complete the COVID-19 School Screening Tool, each morning, prior to your child attending school. If your child is feeling unwell, they must remain at home and depending on symptoms, may require a COVID-19 assessment.
