Week at a Glance

Hello Storrington Stingers,

We hope that this email finds you all well and healthy.

Please see the information below in this week’s Week at a Glance.

Pink, Red and White Day

On Monday, February 14, students will complete their own kindness and caring activities to recognize Valentine’s Day.  We are also asking students to wear red, pink, or white for Red, Pink, and White Day.  Students are welcome to share Valentine’s Day cards within their own classroom/cohort.  We kindly ask that families do not send in treats to be shared.

Covid 19 Vaccination Consent Form

Last week, vaccination consent forms were sent home for students aged 5-11 to determine if they would like their child to be vaccinated at their school, during the school day, without a parent or guardian present. If a parent or guardian would like their child immunized and none of the clinic options from Public Health work for the family, they need to complete the consent form and send it back to the school in a sealed envelope by February 16th.

Inclement Weather/Bus Cancellations

It is important to stay informed regarding possible bus delays or cancellations.  There are several ways parents can stay up-to-date with bus information:

-Using Twitter, parents can follow @BusDelayNCancel.

-Download the Triboard BusPlanner Delays app.

-Subscribe to Triboard through email.

-Receive daily information by visiting http://triboard.ca.

For more information regarding how you can access bus delay or cancellation notifications, please visit: https://triboard.ca/busdelays/.

LaSalle Grade 8 to 9 Transition Information Night

LaSalle Secondary School is holding a Grade 8 to 9 Transition Parent Night on Tuesday, February 15 at 6:00 for any families of Grade 8 students who will be attending LaSalle in September.  The meeting can be accessed virtually at: Grade 8 to 9 Transition Information Night

Kindergarten Online Registration for 2022-2023 School Year

If you have a child or know of a family who has a child that is Kindergarten age in September, the LDSB online registration for 2022-2023 school year is now open. You can register your child now for September, 2022 at Kindergarten Registration. To learn more about the Kindergarten program, please visit Discover Kindergarten in Limestone.  Thank you for choosing LDSB. #SeeYourselfInLimestone

Confirmation of Daily Screening

Families must diligently screen students for symptoms of COVID-19 using  the revised screening tool. As well, each morning, students in Grades 7 and 8 are required to complete the Covid Screener Confirmation.  The confirmation is sent daily to Grade 7 and 8 students’ Limestone email accounts.  Students should not come to school if they have any symptoms and/or feel sick.

Please continue to follow the Storrington website at http://www.storrington.limestone.on.ca, the LDSB website at www.limestone.on.ca, the Storrington Twitter account at @StorrPS_LDSB and the LDSB Twitter account at @LimestoneDSB, for updates and information.
