Week at a Glance

Hello Storrington Stingers,

We’ve almost made it!  We know that this has been a difficult and challenging year.  We are very proud to say that our Stingers have persevered and done an amazing job through the ups and downs.  We want to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of our Stinger community. We hope that after this week, you’re all able to enjoy a well-deserved summer break.

Please see the information below in this week’s Week at a Glance.

National Indigenous Peoples Day- Choice Board

Monday, June 21st is National Indigenous Peoples Day.  It is a day dedicated to commemorating and celebrating Indigenous cultures, traditions and customs.  This year marks the 25th year anniversary of National Indigenous Peoples Day.  In recognizing the importance of the day, our Stingers are encouraged to complete Choice Board activities to learn more about the cultural diversity of the First Nations, Metis and Inuit.  The Choice Board will be posted to Google Classrooms first thing Monday morning.  Students will have a brief check-in with their classroom teacher but will complete the Choice Board asynchronously.  We look forward to our Stingers sharing their learning through their Google Classrooms.

Grade 8 Graduation Update

Due to the forecasted weather projected for Monday, we have decided to move our Grade 8 Graduation to Tuesday, June 22.  Grade 8 students are encouraged to view the Tuesday sign-up sheet to ensure they know their scheduled time.
