Week at a Glance

Hello Storrington Stingers,

Hopefully you're all having a great long weekend and were able to get outside to enjoy the weather.  We truly appreciate all your hard work and hope that you’re continuing to find opportunities to focus on your family’s health and well-being.

Please see the information below in this week’s Week at a Glance.

Storrington Choice Board

We hope that our Stingers had a great time completing the activities from our Storrington Choice Board Day.  Thank you to all our Stingers for sharing pictures of their completed tasks on their Google Classrooms.  It was so great to see all the pictures of our Stingers enjoying the tasks.

Pride Month

During the month of June, we will celebrate Pride Month.  Not only is this a time to recognize the achievements and contributions of LGBTQ2S+ communities but to also reflect on our own impact in creating a safe and inclusive environment where everyone feels welcomed and has a place.

Staffing News

Through the staffing process, our night time custodial position has been filled by Ms. Macey Lutz.  Our current night time custodian, Ms. Wanda Putnam, was in the role in a casual capacity.   We want to express our utmost appreciation and gratitude to Ms. Putnam for everything that she has done in keeping the school immaculate and the staff and students safe and healthy.  She truly has done an amazing job, especially during Covid.  We want to wish her all the best going forward.

Please join me in welcoming Ms. Lutz to the Storrington team.

Welcome to Kindergarten Slideshow

Our 2021-2022 Welcome to Kindergarten slideshow has been posted to our Storrington website under the News and Important Items tab.  Families can also view the Welcome to Kindergarten slideshow by accessing Welcome to Kindergarten Slideshow.

Storrington Bring Your Pet to School Day- Friday, May 28

On Friday, May 28, all our Stingers are invited to bring and show off their pets at their virtual meetings.  We look forward to meeting everyone’s furry friends.

Extension of Virtual School Registration

A reminder that families now have until June 4, 2021 to confirm their child’s registration for the 2021-2022 LDSB Virtual School.  If you are planning on registering your child in the LDSB Virtual School, families should confirm their child’s registration by accessing the registration link.  If your child will be attending face-to-face learning at Storrington Public School, no action is required.
