Hello Storrington Stingers,
We hope that all our Stingers are staying well and healthy.
Please see the information below in this week’s Week at a Glance.
Storrington Picture Day
Our Storrington Picture Day has been scheduled for Friday, December 11. After Picture Day, parents can order pictures on mylifetouch.ca using your Portrait ID and Access Code which can be found on your Picture Day order form.
Storrington students who are participating in Remote Learning, are able to have their pictures taken from 3:45 to 4:15 in the school gym.
Storrington Online Scholastic Book Fair
Thank you to all our Stingers who purchased books through our Storrington Online Scholastic Book Fair. We truly appreciate the continued support from our parent community!
Limestone Student Census
This week, our Storrington Stingers in grades 4 to 8, completed the Limestone Student Census in their classrooms. Thank you to all our families with students in JK to Grade 3 for completing the survey at home. The data gathered from the survey will help us learn more about Limestone students – their backgrounds, experiences and needs.
Storrington Jingle Bell Walk/Non-Perishable Food Donations
Our Storrington Jingle Bell Walk is scheduled for Thursday, December 10th. As always, in conjunction with the Jingle Bell Walk, we will be accepting non-perishable food items for the Battersea United Church. During the week of December 7th to December 11th, students are encouraged to bring in non-perishable food items, which will be used to provide food baskets for families in need.
Kick, Pass and Punt Challenge
Some of our Junior and Intermediate Stingers competed in a kick, pass and punt challenge against 15 other schools in LDSB. The challenge consisted of teams of 3 (boys, girls and mixed) working together to get the furthest distance possible with a combined kick, pass and punt. Congratulations to all our Stingers who tried out and participated in the challenge. Thank you to Mr. Pare for coaching the Junior teams and to Mr. Freeland for coaching the Intermediate teams.
Covid-19 Screening Protocols and Family Reference Guide
Please take the time to complete the COVID-19 School Screening Tool, each morning, prior to your child attending school. If your child is feeling unwell, they must remain at home and depending on symptoms, may require a COVID-19 assessment.
The online COVID-19 School Screening Tool is linked off the Board and all school websites and is available at https://covid-19.ontario.ca/school-screening/.
