Week at a GlanceHello Storrington Stingers,

We hope that all our Stingers are staying well and healthy.
Please see the information below in this week’s Week at a Glance.

Happy Thanksgiving
We want to wish our Storrington community a happy Thanksgiving.  We hope it was a weekend of gratitude and reflection.  On behalf of all the staff at Storrington, we want to thank our Stingers and are truly grateful for the continued support of our families and school community.

Covid-19 Screening Protocols and Family Reference Guide
Please take the time to complete the COVID-19 School Screening Tool, each morning, prior to your child attending school. If your child is feeling unwell, they must remain at home and depending on symptoms, may require a COVID-19 assessment.
The online COVID-19 School Screening Tool is linked off the Board and all school websites and is available at https://covid-19.ontario.ca/school-screening/

Outdoor Clothing
Due to our current COVID guidelines and expectations, we are trying to get our Stingers outside, as much as possible.  This is an opportunity for our Stingers to take off their masks and get some fresh air.  It is important that our Stingers come to school with the proper outdoor clothing suitable for various weather conditions (rain and snow).

Dress Purple Day
On Tuesday, October 27th, we are asking our Stingers to wear purple in support of Dress Purple Day.  Dress Purple Day, which is led by the Children’s Aid Societies across Ontario, is a day to raise awareness about the important role that individuals and communities play in supporting vulnerable children, youth and families.

Orange and Black Day
On Friday, October 30th, we are encouraging all our Stingers to wear orange and black for Halloween.  We kindly ask that students do not wear their costumes or bring in their costume accessories.

Classroom Treats
With the new COVID guidelines, we are unable to accept classroom treats from students/families.  Please do not send in any baked goods or classroom treats with your child for special occasions such as Halloween, birthdays, Christmas, etc.
