Happy Tuesday!
I hope you had a wonderful long weekend! The weather definitely cooperated! I’ve heard many stories about successful hunting experiences and family meals so far today!
Just a few updates and reminders as we get this week started!
Good luck to our Cross Country runners who will take on the hills today at Fort Henry! Thank you to our coaches and to families for their support! I think today’s meet is going to have the best weather – great opportunities for PBs!
Cell Phones
As per the Ministry of Education Policy, cell phones are not to be used during school hours.
As soon as students arrive at school, they should turn off their cell phones and store them in their backpacks. Grade 7 and 8 students can only use cell phones during the school day for instructional purposes when permitted by the teacher (ex: to use as a calculator for math).
Please have a conversation with your student about the expectations for bringing a cell phone to school.
Communication between home and school during the day should go through the Main Office. We are happy to help!

School Council Meeting – Oct 23
Our 2nd School Council Meeting will take place on Thursday, October 23rd at 6:00 pm. All are welcome! We are still trying to fill a couple of positions – Indigenous Representative and Secretary. You do not need to hold a position to attend School Council meetings. We hope to see you there!
A virtual link will be shared with families on October 23 if you would like to join the meeting via Microsoft Teams.
Additionally, we are seeking babysitters interested in volunteering during our monthly meetings. Volunteers will supervise Storrington students or younger siblings who need care. Interested individuals must have completed the Babysitting Course and can earn volunteer hours. Please email our School Council Chairs directly about this – pc.storrington@gmail.com
Fundraising – Final Day is Friday!

Please remember to order your bag of apples or your bag of vegetables by Friday! All ordering is done online, using the link above. The school makes 40% on every bag sold – that is amazing!
We thank you in advance for your support!
