May 25-29 Family update

Good afternoon, Stinger Families,

I apologize for not sharing this update yesterday!

This morning, an EQAO officer visited Storrington to observe our Grade 3 class during their math assessment and then interviewed Ms. Ridout, Ms. Bowen, and me (Ms. Wellwood). It went very well, and we received positive feedback about our support of students and our organization!

For awareness, Ms. Goslin, our Office Administrator, takes her lunch from 12:00-1:00 pm. If possible, please call the school before or after this hour and try to avoid unplanned student pick-ups during this time. Thank you for your support and understanding.

Thank you in advance to all families who have been able to donate an item or two for their student’s Silent Auction Basket. Each class has its own theme! We will continue to accept donations until Wednesday, June 3rd at the latest. Our School Council needs time to assemble the baskets before the Fun Fair! If you have any questions about the baskets, please reach out to your child’s teacher.

Good luck and have fun to our grade 7s and 8s who are going on their trip to Toronto tomorrow! Remember, drop off is 6:45 am and pick up is about 7:15 pm – at the school.

Lastly, don’t forget that Friday, May 29, is a PA Day – no school for students.

Fun Fair

It’s coming! June 7th! 10:00 am – 2:00 pm! Check out the poster below! Family Passes ($30.00) and Individual Child Passes ($5.00) are now for sale on School Day! Please purchase these in advance of the Fun Fair! This event is a huge fundraiser for the school. At the Fun Fair, there will be a cash BBQ hosted by the Storrington Lions Club. Food tickets will be available at the Fun Fair. This year, we will be able to accept cash, debit/credit (if technology is working!), and E-transfer for the BBQ and Silent Auction. We are going to have some amazing items to auction off, thanks to our very generous community. If you or your business would like to donate, please connect with SAC directly – pc.storrington@gmail.com. Thank you!
