September 22-26 Family Update
Happy Tuesday morning, Storrington Families! This newsletter was to be shared yesterday, but there was a slight technical glitch! I apologize for the delay!
I sent a long newsletter on Thursday last week. You can read that here:
It includes all the information you need to know about Open House, the Corn Roast/Potluck, and the School Council meeting! We hope to see you on Thursday evening and/or at 2:00 pm for our Terry Fox event!
Students are encouraged to bring in toonies or loonies this week for Terry Fox! Larger donations can be made online using this link: https://schools.terryfox.ca/StorringtonPSBattersea
Our fundraising goal is $1000. We already have about $500 in donations! We are so close!
Just a few updates to add:
Hot Lunches
A huge thank you to Ms. Cayla in the office for organizing hot lunches! Families receive weekly emails about deadline reminders. If you have any questions, please email storr@limestone.on.ca.
School Day
As much as possible, we try to be a cashless school. Ms. Cayla has sent home information for students who are not connected to School Day yet. School Day is our Board’s online payment system. This is where you go to sign permission forms and pay for field trips and other extracurricular opportunities. If you have any questions, please email storr@limestone.on.ca.

We would like to thank our School Council and Family Volunteers for their help with the book fair. Volunteers set up and take down the display cases, facilitate student visits during the school day, and extend the book fair's hours to make it more accessible to all families in the evening. We are very thankful! Last year, the book fair generated over $2000 in fundraising that will be used to buy books as well as make our library a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) space! Thank you for your support!
Teachers will let families know when they will be visiting the book fair this week. Please keep your eyes peeled for their communication.
I look forward to meeting everyone on Thursday!
