Family Update – February 16-20, 2026
We hope you all had a fantastic Family Day, Stinger Families! It's a short school week, but it's a busy one! Our Senior Basketball Team is at Queen's today - Go, Stingers, go! We have a school-wide Olympic event on Friday, and Friday is also Odd Socks Day to celebrate individuality!
Storrington Stinger Outdoor Olympic Fun!
On Friday, February 20th, Storrington Stingers will participate in a whole school outdoor Olympic Fun! The event will kick off at 11:30 and will wrap up at 1:00. Classes will be divided up into groups. Primary students will remain together, and Jr. students will remain together. Intermediate students will be helping at stations. Your child will be outside during this time frame, so please dress for the weather and bring extra mitts, socks, etc. Chocolate milk will be provided for the whole school after the event. We are looking forward to a fun event!
February is Superhero Kindness Month at Storrington!
This Friday is "Odd Socks Day" to celebrate individuality! Next Thursday is Superhero Day (Feb 26)!
We will finish off the month of February with a Kindness Superpower assembly – details will be shared soon!
“You got STUNG” tickets - Staff will be on the lookout for students who are doing extraordinary things, whether it be kindness, perseverance, or any other positive action! They will get a ticket saying they got "Stung" to bring home, and one will be posted on the bulletin board just inside the front doors of the school!
Term 1 Report Cards
Term 1 Report Cards were sent home on Friday, February 13.
Term 2 IEPs
If your student has an IEP, the Term 2 IEPs will be sent home immediately after March Break, on Monday, March 23, 2026.
Candy Grams Fundraiser for Student Council
Thank you to Mrs. Bowen and the Student Council for organizing and distributing the Candy Grams last week! The Valentine's Dances were also a huge hit!
