Dress Loud Day
Friday, May 26 is our Storrington Dress Loud Day. It is a day for our Stingers to wear their most wild, colourful and LOUD outfits to school to support the deaf and hard of hearing community.
Storrington Playground Structures and Equipment
Every year, LDSB contracts a company to inspect all playground equipment and structures. Last week, the company came to inspect our playground structures and found that the base around the structures has become too hard. This happens from years of weather and use. As a result, the playground equipment is closed until further notice. We are very hopeful that the work can happen soon, so that our Stingers and Storrington community can access the playground equipment.
Storrington Gym Stage Padding
Our Storrington gym stage padding has arrived and have been installed. We want to send a huge thank you to our Storrington School Council for all their work and efforts in fundraising for the padding. As well, we want the thank our Stinger community for their continued support of school initiatives and fundraisers. We are very lucky to be part of such a dedicated and committed school community!
News from our Storrington School Council
Our last parent council meeting of the year is June 13th. If you haven’t attended a meeting, come check one out. Weather permitting, we are hoping to do a parking lot meeting and enjoy the sunshine. Child care provided.
Meet the current council and see if this may be something you’d like to be involved with, have the summer to mull it over. Council positions will be available in September, along with just being able to come join in the fun!
