Week at a Glance

Hello Storrington Stingers,

We hope that all of our Stingers had a great weekend!

Please see the information below in this week’s Week at a Glance.

Storrington Remembrance Day Ceremony

On Thursday, November 8, our Storrington Stingers participated in a Ceremony of Remembrance.  We took the time to remember those who have served and sacrificed their lives for our freedom.  We would like to thank our Storrington community for joining us.

Indigenous Education Month

On Thursday, November 16, our Storrington Stingers will recognize the contributions of Louis Riel.  Riel was a Canadian Politician, a founder of the province of Manitoba and a passionate leader and advocate for Métis cultures, identities, and rights.  November 16, is the anniversary or Riel’s execution in 1885.

Transgender Awareness Week

Transgender Awareness Week is from November 13 to November 17.  The week is dedicated to helping raise the visibility about transgender people and address issues that members of the transgender community face.

Junior Girls’ and Senior Girls’ Volleyball Tournaments

We want to wish our Junior Girls and Senior Girls volleyball teams good luck this week as they all participate in tournaments at The Boys and Girls Club .  Our junior girls will be participating on Thursday, November 16 and our senior girls will be participating on Friday, November 17.  Good luck to all our Stinger volleyball players!
