National Bus Safety Week
National Bus Safety Week is held during the third full week of October. It is an opportunity to bring awareness to the safety and security of students on and around the school bus. During the week, our Stingers will be participating in activities and lessons focusing on school bus safety. As well, our Stingers will participate in bus safety presentations on Wednesday, October 18.
Storrington Cross Country Team
Congratulations to our Storrington Cross Country team who participated in the Regional Cross Country Championships on Friday, October 13. All our Stinger runners did an amazing job representing Storrington with many of our Stingers qualifying for the LESSA Cross Country Championships on Thursday, October 19.
We’re Looking for Reading Volunteers
We are looking for volunteers to come to the school to read with our Stingers. If you are able to volunteer on a weekly or bi-weekly basis and are interested in reading with students, please contact the office. A valid CPIC is required for any reading volunteers.
News from our Parent Council for the 2023-2024 School Year
Save the Date!
Our 2023 Boo Bash will be held on October 26th from 5-7 PM. The cost will be $2 per person or $5 per family, and there will be slices of pizza for sale at $3 per slice. Forms will be coming home soon so keep an eye out! Keep up to date by checking out the event on our Facebook group.
We are still looking for volunteers for the Boo Bash. If you are interested in helping out please reach out to Sarah Platz or Steacy Wood at [email protected].
Do you have a high school student looking to get some volunteer hours? We are looking for volunteers for the Boo Bash, as well as our next council meetings.
Fresh From the Farm Fundraiser
We want to extend a big thank you for supporting the Fresh From the Farm fundraiser that came to a close this week! With 87 bundles of fruits and veggies ordered we are well on our way to creating a sensory room. Families will be notified once a pick up date is set.
Christmas Fundraisers
Keep an eye out for information in the coming weeks on new fundraisers for the holiday season including Wilton Cheese and FundScrip Gift Cards
