Hello Storrington Stingers,
We want to wish our Storrington community a happy Thanksgiving. We hope it was a weekend of gratitude and reflection. On behalf of all the staff at Storrington, we want to thank our Stingers and are truly grateful for the continued support of our families and school community.

Storrington Acts of Amazing
The month of September saw our Stingers doing lots of amazing things!. Collectively, they displayed 866 Acts of Amazing by showing Humility, Honesty, Bravery, Respect, Love, Wisdom and Truth. We have set a goal of 10 000 Acts of Amazing this year and we are well on our way. Great job Stingers!
September Storrington Recognition Certificate Recipients
During our October Spirit and Recognition Assembly, we took the time to celebrate our September Storrington Recognition Certificate Recipients. These students were recognized by their classroom teacher and classmates for consistently showing Respect, Honesty, Humility, Love, Wisdom, Truth and Bravery during the month of September. Congratulations to this month’s recipients- Harris Robinson, Everly Sigouin, Wesley Sleeth, Addison Cheseborough, Wesley Jackson, Hazel Donohue, Tessa Poole, Brodie Hanmore, Ayden Gordon, Remy Mustard, CJ Gardiner and Logan Arcand.
We’re Looking for Reading Volunteers
We are looking for volunteers to come to the school to read with our Stingers. If you are able to volunteer on a weekly or bi-weekly basis and are interested in reading with students, please contact the office. A valid CPIC is required for any reading volunteers.
Fire Prevention Week
The week of October 9 to October 13 is Fire Prevention Week. It is a week dedicated to learning about fire prevention and what to do in case of a fire. During the week, our students will be learning more about fire prevention and fire safety. Our friends from the South Frontenac Fire Department will be joining us Thursday, October 12 for fire safety presentations.
Storrington Cross Country Team
On Friday, October 13, our Storrington Cross Country team will be competing in the Cross Country Regional Championships at Fort Henry Hill. We want to wish all our Stingers good luck and we know that they will all make us proud!

News from our Parent Council for the 2023-2024 School Year
Save the Date!
Our 2023 Boo Bash will be held on October 26th at 5:30pm. The cost will be $2 per person or $5 per family, and there will be slices of pizza for sale at $3 per slice. Forms will be coming home in the coming weeks so keep an eye out!
We are also still looking for volunteers for the Boo Bash. If you are interested in helping out please reach out to Sarah Platz or Steacy Wood at [email protected].
Do you have a high school student looking to get some volunteer hours? We are looking for volunteers for the Boo Bash, as well as our next council meetings.
Book Fair News!
Thank you to everyone who supported our Scholastic Book Fair this year and made it such a success!! We are happy to report that we have earned over $1300 in Scholastic dollars to be spent on resources for the school.

Fundraising Updates!
Our Fresh from the Farm fundraiser orders are due on October 10th by the end of the school day. If you have any questions or are unable to send the orders back this date please reach out to council directly.
We are excited to bring some new and exciting fundraisers this year. We will be running a Wilton Cheese Fundraiser, as well as FundScript Gift Card fundraiser in November! We are working on an additional fundraiser for Christmas greenery and/or Poinsettias. Stay tuned for more information coming soon.
