Week at a Glance

Hello Storrington Stingers,

We hope that all of our Stingers had a great weekend!

Please see the information below in this week’s Week at a Glance.

School Photos

Just a friendly reminder, in order to receive free shipping, school photo orders are due back to the school by Wednesday, December 6th.  Orders can still be placed after the December 6th deadline, but no longer with free shipping.

Thank You to Staples Kingston, Kingston Kiwanis Club and the Kinsmen Club of Gananoque

On behalf of all our Stingers, we want to thank Staples Kingston, the Kingston Kiwanis Club and the Gananoque Kinsmen Club for their donations to Storrington Public School.

This past August and September, the two Staples stores in Kingston together with the Kiwanis Club of Kingston held a "School Supply Drive" with the goal of providing extra funds for public and catholic elementary schools within the drawing area of Kingston.  Over $11,600 was donated at the checkout counters by generous customers. As a result, we received a $500 gift card to be used at Staples.

The Gananoque Kinsmen Club, through proceeds from the Kinsmen Super TV Bingo, also made a generous donation of $3000 to Storrington Public School.

We are very fortunate to have the support of local businesses and organizations.

Storrington Spirit and Recognition Assembly

Our November Storrington Spirit and Recognition Assembly is scheduled for Thursday, December 7 at 10:00.  We would like to invite our Storrington community to join us for the assembly.  If you are interested in attending, we ask that you arrive at the school by 9:55, so we can start right at 10:00.

Storrington Cheerios Challenge

The Cheerios Challenge continues until Friday, December 15.  We look forward to seeing which class brings in the most boxes of Cheerios and wins the pizza and movie party!

Students are encouraged to bring in non-perishable food items, which will be used to provide food baskets for families in need.  We will be accepting food donations until Friday, December 15.

Storrington Accessories and Apparel Store

Storrington Public School now has an online clothing store where families can purchase Stinger accessories and apparel.  The online store remains open all year round. To access the online clothing store, please visit: https://specialtytrophies.ca/storringtonps/

Mabel’s Labels

A reminder to our Stinger families that we have a Mabel’s Labels fundraiser account for any families who are interested in purchasing labels.  If you are interested in purchasing labels, go to:  campaigns.mabelslabels.com and type Storrington Public School (Battersea) in the Search for the Name of Organization.  All proceeds from the label purchases will go to purchasing outdoor equipment.
