Week at a Glance

Hello Storrington Stingers,

We hope that all of our Stingers had a great weekend!

Please see the information below in this week’s Week at a Glance.

Pink, Red and White Day

On Tuesday, February 14, students will complete their own kindness and caring activities to recognize Valentine’s Day.  We are also asking students to wear red, pink, or white for Red, Pink, and White Day.  Students are welcome to share Valentine’s Day cards with their friends and classmates.  We kindly ask that families do not send in treats to be shared.

Accessible/Handicap Parking

During morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up, please ensure that the handicap parking spots are available for students and/or parents who require the use of these accessible parking spaces.  The dedicated spots are marked on the pavement and with signs.  We appreciate your support and cooperation with this.

LDSB Special Education Review

Over the next couple of weeks, students with special education needs will be participating in a Special Education Review.  Families will also have the opportunity to participate.  More information will be shared in the next couple of weeks.

2023-2024 School Year Calendar

Planning for the next school year has begun and the Limestone District School Board is seeking feedback from families on the proposed 2023-2024 school-year calendar.

The calendar is prepared in consultation with the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board and Algonquin Lakeshore Catholic District School Board stakeholders, as we share busing.

Families in our district are invited to take a few minutes to provide input via an online survey. 2023-2024 School Year Calendar Survey

If families would prefer a paper version of the survey, please contact your school and a hard copy will be provided.

The survey is open for responses until February 21, 2023.

Your input is important to us, and we appreciate your time in submitting your comments.

For more information, please visit the LDSB website.
